Jim Holder

featuring Mike Paramore

August 21 - 24

Thurs at 7:30pm | Fri at 7:30pm & 10pm | Sat at 7pm & 9:30pm | Sun at 7pm

Jim Holder is a 20+ year veteran of stand-up comedy who has headlined comedy clubs from coast-to-coast. Jim started his career at The Comedy Workshop in Houston, Texas, home of the "Texas Outlaw Comics" such as Sam Kinison and Bill Hicks. “Bill Hicks was the first non-famous comic I ever saw live and it changed the way I thought about comedy forever! The Outlaw Comics didn’t look like comedians I saw on TV. These guys owned the stage like rock stars! You never knew what was going to happen next!" From those early influences, Jim developed the passion for stand-up comedy that he carries today. With an attitude aimed at making people laugh uncontrollably, Jim strikes incredibly close to home with his cynical descriptions of everyday subjects. His comedy is sometimes silly and hard-hitting, often spontaneous and interactive, but always funny. The question Jim receives most often after his show is "When are you coming” back?"

Scott Weiland & The Wildabouts

September 3

7:30PM

After multi-platinum success with alternative rock luminaries Stone Temple Pilots, he went on to front Velvet Revolver alongside some of the most legendary musicians in rock, carving a second legacy in the process. In between, he released two critically acclaimed and artistically provocative solo albums 1998’s 12 Bar Blues and “Happy” in Galoshes in 2008. His voice propelled some of the biggest hits in rock history including “Sex Type Thing”, “Wicked Garden”, “Creep”, “Interstate Love Song”, “Vasoline”, “The Big Empty”, “Sour Girl”, “Down”, and more. In addition to cumulatively selling 44 million records worldwide, he’s garnered two Grammy Awards in the category of “Best Hard Rock Performance”—in 2005 for “Slither” and in 1994 for “Plush”. However, 2014 sees him undergo his most powerful reinvention to date with The Wildabouts. On their first official studio album, Weiland, guitarist Jeremy Brown, bassist Tommy Black, and drummer Danny Thompson elegantly infuse raw rock ‘n’ roll with a poetic, passionate, and pure perspective. Produced by Rick Parker [Black Rebel Motorcycle Club], it’s as unadulterated as it is unique.

Al Stewart

October 1

7:30PM

"British talent Al Stewart has always been obsessed with romantic literature and history, marking him as the most incongruous of folk-flavored "pop" singers. ‘Year of the Cat’ delivered Al a fluke hit – once. And the man is still going his own merry way on Sparks of Ancient Light (A-), citing the likes of Greek mythology, former president William McKinley, an Elvis sighting and ‘(A Child's View of) The Eisenhower Years.’ But the guy sings and writes as well as he ever did, and in his quirky, bemused and literate way he's delivered one of the finest albums of his career.” - Jonathan Takiff - Philadelphia Daily News
